Spring 2017
New York Fashion Week

East coast showing with west coast vibes. These are pieces we're likely going to see on the most dominant Cali girls... Starting now and lasting year-round. Yeah, I do find this collection seasonless, with it's flawlessly boho-chic jackets and it's flowy, effortless dresses. Plus the stunning footwear ranges from suede heeled ankle boots to pretty laced-up sandals. But this is just about the pieces.

Rebecca Minkoff used augmented reality to help people shop this collection live. Yes, that same technology which helps us capture Pokemon has been used at fashion week. And it's awesome. This made is possible for people everywhere to view and shop this collection as it was released during fashion week. Yet in addition, thanks to an app called Zeekit, women could see just how they'd look in the new Minkoff pieces instantly, simply by uploading a photo of themselves. Zeekit connects a photo of you to your desired look, fitting in on your frame. As much as we love the models, let's face the truth here... We're not all tall and lanky, and yet we're the ones buying the clothes. So, thanks to a cool app using augmented reality, this whole new experience became possible.

Now, I know a few of you actually went to the show and experienced this first hand. How was this experience like? And, of course, what do you think of the new pieces? xx
