FALL 2016: Gucci

via
Gucci Fall 2016 Ready to Wear at Milan Fashion Week

80's couture with the look from a Wes Anderson film. Yes, please. Though, again this fashion week, this is a collection I unpredictably love. No, I shouldn't love puffy 80's shoulders and sleeves, but I DO. Ugh, Alessandro, you design it and I seem to follow no matter what. Fur had a strong presence in this collection, as did loads of prints on various fabrics. Prints and fur - such utter lux. 80's glasses made yet another appearance, and again I'm loving what I'm not meant to love. But the bottom line is, this collection rocks generally, but especially on social media. I first started seeing photos of this collection from all you lucky fashion week attendees, and as a fast scroll-er, I slowed down to admire the photos. Those very prints stood out like nothing else, and without even glancing at the caption, I knew it was Gucci. And really, that is a true sign of complete success of a collection nowadays. So, well done Alessandro - for getting me to love 80's style, but also for winning my feed.  xx

FALL 2016: A.L.C.

A.L.C. Fall 2016 Ready to Wear at London Fashion Week

Oh, her California! Again! I love the west coast and the many influences it's having on this happening fashion season. It's all about the Cali style laid back, minimal luxury and I'm lovin' it. I mean, I was a bit unsure about the tracksuit at first, but if anyone will make me love it, it'll be A.L.C. xx

FALL 2016: Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen Fall 2016 Ready to Wear at London Fashion Week

Now, isn't this magical. In my opinion, one of Sarah Burton's best McQueen collections, ever. Each look is a dream, starting from the tougher, suited looks opening the show to the insanely angelic gowns which closed the show. Oh, hell yeah - if I was an actual angel, I'm sure this collection is all I'd wear. xx

FALL 2016: Proenza Schouler

Proenza Schouler Fall 2016 Ready to Wear at New York Fashion Week

Proenza Schouler has been around long enough for us to see a look, without seeing the name, and knowing that it's theirs. The mixed prints, the knits, and the deconstructed silhouettes say it all. They always find a new way to drape, and to make it so even the tight pieces look very comfortable. They also do full trousers like absolute pros. I predict seeing most of the dresses on all of the icons very soon. xx
