Jason Wu Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear at New York Fashion Week.
Ok, let's start with the new Vogue Runway - formally known as my favorite site, style.com. Thus far, I'm very alright with the change. And the fact that VF is similar enough to the good ol' style.com is really helping. The new features that I've seen so far include an "atmosphere" view of each collection, seen here from Jason Wu. I find this very, very cool - love catching the frow's reactions to each photographed piece in addition to seeing the runway itself. It goes with the whole concept of being able to be a full part of fashion week, without actually leaving your couch (on my couch right now viewing each collection - it feels great).
Jason Wu's Spring 2016 collection is nice change from the overly sexy silhouette we've been used to; we've entered the look of the polished, glamorous, and very confident woman (hopefully, here to stay for a while). The collection started off with an oversized trench dress, perfectly draped on the model's body with its many shaped, folds, and gorgeous volume. The rest of the collection consisted of airy, romantic frocks and blouse/skirt combinations; soft sweaters, sexy slips, and ruffles galore.
A great start for the Spring 2016 season, in my opinion. What are your thoughts? xx
