3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2016 Ready-To-Wear Collection at New York Fashion Week

Woohoo! Happy 10th anniversary to the amazing 3.1 Phillip Lim. Yes, this amazing designer and brand is now... 4.1! And as I remember viewing his first ever collection on the late style.com, nothing really makes you feel as old as that. This collection is to 'stop and smell the flowers', something that is quite advised to do when you pass a huge milestone (though, one should strive to do so every single day).

Romance flowed throughout this and showed in the silhouettes, fabrics, and patterns alike. I quite like the thought of the romance being dedicated from the clothes to the accessories (or vice versa), as the two together form a beautiful pair, complimenting each other as the right couple should. Another stunning pairing, one that is consistent in the Lim collections, is the statement leather pieces and the soft floral blouses and frocks - or a soft, silk blouse and shorts. It always makes me happy to see.

Cheers to the next 10. x
