In the meantime, since I'm going to need new furniture, dinnerwear, and decor... this post. I am obviously on a budget, and while for this post I had a max of $50 per item - realistically, I'm going to try and get mostly everything additionally discounted. It's pretty much sale season! Let me know if you have any good online finds too. xx

Giambattista Valli Resort 2016

Giambattista Valli Resort 2016

The colors! The flowers! Oh, Giama is coming to his 10th anniversary, and leading up to it he's giving us all that he's known for. Now, here's what I find amazing: I love black and grey, I don't wear colors and floral prints (and when I do, trust me, you'll see it on the blog). Yet, I die for Giama's dresses. They suit my black-and-grey filled closet. And I want them in my life.

This collection holds this really cool, graphic romance. Really simple and figure flattering silhouettes, perfect for warmer weather (but I'll happily layer them over tights if it's a bit cooler). I love the cropped pants, quite similar to what Prada was doing a few seasons ago. The collection is also nicely edgy, it's for the "tougher" Giamba girl. Still, lovely and amazing. xx

GET THE LOOK: Summer in the City

Summer in Tel Aviv is amazing, vibrant, and fun (similar to the summer in NYC). Weekends consist of going to cafes, pubs, taking photos of everything, and enjoying the heat. And don't get me wrong here, as this is just the best - but what are you really meant to wear?
The heat (and humidity) means clothes should be light and airy, the walking means shoes should be comfortable, and the cool evenings means bring a jacket. Oh, and your handbag should be versatile enough to carry a lot, but without weighing you down.

Well, I came across this photo on my Pinterest. And it was suddenly so obvious: this is what I should be wearing, all the time!

Here's how I'll be getting the look.
DRESS - MNG by Mango | Short Sleeved Floral Dress, $30
HANDBAG - Eva | Open Top Shoulder Satchel, $42
SHOES - Converse | Chuck Taylor Classic Sneakers, $55
DENIM JACKET - H&M | Light Denim Jacket, $30

What are you wearing around the city this summer? xx

Elin Kling, via
I'll never forget the first fashion blog I ever came across. It was (then known as) Style By Elin Kling. Elin is a Swedish fashionista, who greatly grew in popularity around the world thanks to her blog. While TOPCOAT and Style By (now known as The Wall) have always been very different (content-wise), I never missed an Elin post. She never failed to inspire me. And with the recent news that she is shutting down her site, I felt the need to say thanks - to a fashion blogger pioneer, who got me into blogging in the first place.

On to my current links:
- Game of Thrones finale. OMG. It was a week ago and I'm still freaking out (oh, and I read the books so I saw it coming). This article is probably my favorite GoT read right now (SPOILERS). And if you'd like to discuss theories into depth with me, please feel free to drop me a line.
- Summer is running at full speed, and froyos are sort of last year... Really, just take your yogurt to the next level with this red currant, blueberry, and yogurt popcicles and/or these yogurt parfait popsicles.
- Each weekend uniform should include a pretty eyelet top and a killer clutch
- Just a good bunch of Twitter hacks for all of my fellow tweeters.
- Yay for a gorgeous summery shift dress, under $30! Here and here
- I officially LIVE by this article via Bon Appetit Magazine, on how to make office lunches not suck.
- Speaking of office-life, in reference to this post I recently did; everyone should have a chic scarf and warm socks in their desk (if you have a big issue with the aircon like myself).

The weekend is nearly over - hope you guys all had the best time! xx

Coffee Culture in Tel Aviv

Guys, I'm sure you already know my deep love and appreciation for coffee (primarily), food, and Tel Aviv? Well, through my constant Googling the topics, I came across a blog brilliantly named Tel Aveat (see what they did there?). It's run by Leah and Natalie, two lovely Londoners currently living in Tel Aviv, also: they're major foodies. Together they set out on a mission to provide their readers the best foodie goodness Tel Aviv has to offer. Upon meeting with Tel Aveat a few months ago, it was decided that we simply had to collaborate. Now, I know my blog is usually fashion-y and stuff, but I really want to share Tel Aviv's insanely good coffee culture with you all. Enjoy!

Delicatessen | 79-81 Yehuda Halevi Street, Tel Aviv | +972 3 968 1010 |

Coffee has become a human necessity, right? Right. The coffee served at Delicatessen more than does the job. It's the same as the coffee served at Brasserie, Coffee Bar, and a few other incredible spots around town. However, the atmosphere at Delicatessen is insanely good in it's own right! Lively, busy, and one of our favourite spots to sit outside on the street-facing patio and enjoy. Time at Delicatessen just seems to fly by... The deli includes a take-out counter, and restaurant/café. If you'd like something sweet, order a coffee with a slice of cheesecake (FYI it's the best cheesecake in the city); or if you are after something savoury than a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese does the trick.

Café Habima | 31 Ben Zion Blvd. Tel Aviv |

Also known as We Like You Too, Café Habima is a small kiosk-café (Tel Aviv's answer to the food-truck) located on the corner of the lovely and green Ben Zion Blvd and the stunning Habima Square. This place screams 'trendy' without it being too much, a big accomplishment. The coffee is always flowing; while there may always be a line to get some, the baristas are incredibly fast and are SO good at what they do. Additionally, the sandwiches are to die for. But really, what's better than a surprisingly light and not greasy bacon and cheddar sandwich to accompany your morning cup? You're welcome to sit on the many benches close by, or to simply take your food to the Square. It's just the perfect weekend spot.

Cafelix | 12 Shlomo Hamelech Street, Tel Aviv / 15 Segula Street, Jaffa |

Gorgeous, and quite hidden on a pretty green side street; Cafelix is definitely the local's favorite. Beans are imported from many locations, such as Ethiopia and Panama, though the beans are roasted in house (in Cafelix's Jaffa location), and they're roasted slowly to perfection. Each country's beans has a unique flavor, and the whole fun is in learning and then choosing the flavor that best fits into your day.
The crowd is really vibrant, and classically Tel Aviv. You can often find designers with their sketches laid on the tables during weekdays, and on weekends you'll see these über trendy young parents enjoying a cappuccino as their equally as trendy kids (I know, right? #OnlyinTLV) playing in the garden out front. Cafelix has a love story behind it, and it's coffee related - for the most part. You can also shop their coffee beans online (here).

WISHLIST: Wear To Work (Summer Edition)

summer office look

1. Current/Elliott | The Costa Denim Shirt
2. J Crew Collection | Alto Ikat Wrap Skirt
3. FENDI | Trois-Jour Tote Bag (budget: UO | Vegan Leather Tote Bag, $59)
4. H&M | Black Sandals
5. Acne Studios | Library Sunglasses
6. Gorjana | Pristine Stud Earrings
7. Michael Kors | Bradshaw Watch, gold

I'm going through that big transition stage right now with what I want to wear to the office. The honest truth is: I wish I could wear a tee and shorts, but then automatically regret it once I get into the my frozen, air-conditioned to the max space.
It's all about finding something in the middle, a look that will carry me from outside to inside, and will still look good and office appropriate (unlike that tee and shorts).
Oh, this may just be a Tel Aviv thing - but sandals are totally acceptable. And I'm so thankful for that. But it also means I will have a pair of socks I secretly wear when sat at my desk. Also, always keep a light blazer or warm cardigan in a drawer - you never know when it'll come in handy.

What is your go-to office look during the hot summers? Any tips on mastering the cold offices during the summer? xx

Isabel Marant FW 15.16

Oh, Poly + Inez & Vinoodh for Isabel Marant? I miss this. I'm so happy to finally have a campaign filled with beauty, life, movement, and stellar garments and shoes. Though, we can all go shop these same trends (in incredibly similar styles) at our local Zara, H&M, and Mango (controversial, I know. But it's reality), it's awesome to have Isabel around as a trendsetter.
Thoughts on this campaign? xx

How To Get Engaged Followers on Instagram

On Instagram, while a higher follower number may look nice, it doesn't mean much without the engagement. Engagement comes in the form of likes, comments, and re-grams for the most part. The engagement is the community and it's what makes Instagram so fulfilling and fun.

Bloggers, you can love it or hate it, but you're very judged by brands and sales agencies on Instagram – they are always looking for the latest blogger to push their product forward to a new audience! Brands and agencies will look for engagement, as engaged users are more prone to actually buy.

Don't buy followers. Don't. Trust me when I say, we always know when followers are purchased and this tends to make me, the user, not want to follow that account – and it definitely has an impact on what brands and agencies are thinking (it has a great negative effect). The easiest way to spot if an account had bought followers is a very high follower count with very little engagement. For example, a follower could of 15K with an average 50 likes per photo? C'mon…

Aim for prime quality photos. Even if it means that you post a not-so-instant Instagram after you photographed your post with your DSLR. And this is hard for me to accept, as fast photography is something I enjoy and love for it's easy convenience. But a high quality photo will always win at the end of the day – look at one of the most successful Instagrammers (@SongofStyle, @ChiaraFerragni for example) – their photos are all top quality and it shows in the results. Again, for brands and agencies, the consistently great quality photos mean that their products will be shown at a gorgeous and professional level. This is something that will definitely pay off in the long run.

Hashtaging is still very well and alive, and while a post may look 'nicer' without a hashtag's presence, don't underestimate the power of them! One of Instagram's latest features provides the ability to see how many photos are connected to the same hashtag you're to use. This will greatly help you find the best hashtags for you; meaning hashtags that have a high enough reach to draw people to your account via a photo.

Finally, my words of wisdom to you are: be active. It's putting yourself out there that attracts people to you in the first place! If you don't like other user's photos, how will people see your account to like yours? Same applies for commenting and even following. I'm not saying to go out and spam people with likes, comments, and follows. But if there's an account that you really like, or you find an amazing picture – don't be shy! Let them know you like what you see. And most of the time, yes – MOST of the time, they will reply to you on the same level (likes for likes, comments for comments, etc.). Instagram is not the place to be shy, and you can be rewarded with some successful collaboration deals.

And, um… #shameless follow me here! Leave your link in a comment! xx

- I wrote an article for The Culture Trip TLV, featuring an incredible photography project called 52Frames! I know a lot of you will enjoy participating, or just following (like myself). Check it out here
