Nina Ricci Autumn/Winter 2015 Ready to Wear at Paris Fashion Week
Amazing coats. ✓
Fur accents. ✓
Ok, all top trends seem to be present, without an obvious seventies reference. (Yay! Refreshing!)
This is another change this fashion week: please see the début Nina collection for Guillaume Henry. Mr. Henry comes from one of my favorite brands, Carven. And news of him taking over at Nina Ricci was amazing but also quite strange, as how does the signature Carven Guillaume mix in with a brand which, I think, has been a bit lost lately? Well, it's gorgeous. To say the least.
This collection is romantic, and is filled with strong basics - a great way to start his regime (with a good foundation, AKA good basics). The basics I'm talking about are of course the coats, the simple black kitten heels, the sweaters and knitwear, the simplistic silhouettes of the entire collection. The minimal embellishment was also my favorite - being one who doesn't wear much embellished garments, this is totally my thing.
Even the all-lace and all-sequined looks seemed to maturely put together but also so very chic, even for Nina Ricci. I loved it all.
So, a good start for Guillaume, in my opinion. Do share your thoughts! xx
