Richard Chai Love Autumn/Winter 2015 Ready to Wear at New York Fashion Week
Happy NYFW! As usual, one of my favorite collections from Day 1 ends up as my top choice. Richard Chai is sometimes quite predictable like that; predictable in the best way possible.
I want to share, during my trip to Miami last month, my big shopping goal way to purchase a good winter coat (as it get's quite cold in Tel Aviv. Like right now). The beauty of buying a coat in Florida is that no one else seems to need one, so all the good coats are insanely cheap.
I bought a Richard Chai coat for $60. Yes, that's a real price. And I have to say, it's the best $60 I've ever spent in my life; as right now, writing this post while listening to hail pounding on my window with the thought that I soon will actually have to leave the house... I get to stay warm and look amazing in a Richard Chai designed coat. Oh, it's these little things that get one through a winter. And with that being said, I'm sure you now understand why this collection is making me so damn happy....
I mean, coats and more coats! Yes!
This collection features topcoats (woot! woot!), parkas, peacoats, moto jackets, bombers, etc. Some with leather details, others with fur trimmings and lined hoods. Having just told you on my new found love for a Richard Chai coat; when the time for a new coat comes around, this collection just made my life very easy (so much to choose from!) and also so very hard (how am I supposed to choose only one!). This collection seems to have been made with the idea of shielding one from the harsh winter, making it a very acceptable thing to actually cover and bundle up as much as possible. The rest of the collection were "just" the layers underneath the fabulous coats. We had some sheer pieces, and much graphic printed looks. It was all very pretty and so light, effortless looking. There were also some strong knit sweaters among the layering, and some silk dresses too. Again, so pretty.
