NYFW: Prabal Gurung AW15 RTW

Prabal Gurung Autumn/Winter 2015 Ready to Wear at New York Fashion Week

Prabal, this is just too good.

The inspiration comes from a mix of Prabal's native Nepal and a trip to upstate New York (source).
All I can say is WOW - if a mix of Nepal and upstate NY bring us the most gorgeous sweaters layered over beaded dresses, I am very grateful for such a random and genius mix.
In addition to those sweaters, the outerwear is sensational - ethnic styled and very cool.
And throughout the various embellishments, ethnic details, furs, beading, etc... I thought this collection was yet a big minimal side of Prabal, which just goes to show how much right styling can change the look of a collection completely. So, when purchasing and then wearing this collection, please note on the styling. I also want to mention the silhouette, how sexy it is without being skin tight. I do find this incredibly refreshing, and I think this is an outstanding new direction for Prabal.

Finally - Caroline Trentini on the runway! Yay supermodels! xx
