Elizabeth and James Autumn/Winter 2015 Ready to Wear at New York Fashion Week
Like J. Crew, Elizabeth and James is a collection I actually shop. Ok, I admit to only purchasing off the clearance racks at Saks 5th Off, but at least I can say: I don't only admire from afar, but I actually wear Elizabeth and James. And when looking through collections, I think it's easier to judge the clothes just from the pictures, as I know the quality of sweaters, blouses, and blazers and I'm really looking forward to shopping the pieces of this collection perhaps during the summer, for next winter's wear.
This is an awfully sexy collection, and I think it suits EJ to go on this direction. It's a sexy which is still incredibly modest (for most looks) and it's a sexy I, a non-sexy-dresser-ever, could actually see myself in anyways. This is a relaxed sexy, and I feel good about that.
I have a lot of love for the snake print and the over-the-knee boots, it's very Gucci (as it is this whole collection, tbh) but still so effortless looking and laid back. The knitwear looks so luxurious but still can be worn with H&M jeans on a normal day like no problem, and I admire the chunky mixed with soft. A trend I will forever relate with. xx
