Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2015 Ready to Wear at London Fashion Week
You all know me by now... I obsess over these Burberry shows to the point where they become an actual highlight from all fashion weeks combined.
Yet again, Burberry transformed it's Hyde Park show location into something special - this season it's Woodstock mixed with the early '70s boho spirit. The 1970s: so trendy right now, it's unreal. But I admire each and every designer's take on it.
Christopher Bailey gave us many flowy dresses in traditional paisley prints, along with fridges suede in burgundy, teal, navy, natural browns. This was a autumn collection with a surprisingly little amount of black pieces, such as outerwear and frocks; a refreshing turn for Burberry.
Ponchos continue to be everything, but now, instead of having out initials on them, we'll get a poncho which looks properly vintaged and almost like it came straight from the (very chic) prairie. The tapestry-like and heavily embroidered coats and dresses with the mirror details - also loved.
Now, a mention regarding the front row. Naomi came late, Patrick had a laugh at that with Kate. Oh, we could all be friends. But my favorite was how during the show, and especially during the finale, the audience was swaying with the music and were properly singing along with Clare Maguire to the tunes 'House of the Rising Sun' and 'My Sweet Lord'. Sensational. xx
