Kimye win

(ps: thefashionspot)

This just in - Kim Kardashian indeed gets her Vogue cover. And of course, she is accompanied by Kanye. My 5 cents:

1. Kanye is completely unnecessary. Just NO.
2. This is a beautiful photo of Kim. She looks radiant, her ring is shining bright, the dress is made for her. Go ahead, argue that it's all the Photoshop, nonetheless it's still very good looking.
3. Regardless (of the look), Kim does not deserve this. Woman who do deserve covers: Mindy Kaling, Emily Blunt (BOTH mentioned on the cover), among many others. I feel like I don't have a need to say more because no matter if you like Kim or not, she simply did nothing to earn this. NOTHING.
4. I feel so bad for Vogue's social media team right now. So bad.
5. Discuss: who's the bigger attention seeker; Anna or Kimye? I vote Anna.
6. This is obviously the peak in the newer celeb-era for Vogue. After the peak comes the fall. Fingers crossed.

This cover may have been out, what, 20 minutes? And already 'Vogue', 'Anna Wintour', 'Kimye', and 'Kim & Kanye' are all worldwide trends. So well done Vogue, on this #worldsmosttalkedaboutcover.

It's going to be an interesting month, I wonder how many subscribers they will loose and how many issues they will sell. Thoughts? xx

  1. The moment I saw the first post of Kimye Vogue cover the first thing that pops on my mind is "Gosh, Vogue is really desperate now".

  2. Kim looks good. I really don't understand why all the fuss though. It's just a magazine cover!

  3. I'd totally love to see Emily Blunt on the cover! As much as I love vogue, I don't think i'd rush out to buy this issue!

  5. Wow, considering Kim on the cover was the first step of falling and now Kimye on the cover after all? This is so not en vogue. I'm not sure what Anna's thoughts were but she probably must have been drunk, otherwise I don't get it. This is a really desperate direction Vogue headed to

  6. It really has got everyone talking! I would definitely love to know what the figures are relating to sales of the mag and people unsubscribing. Hmmmmm :-0

  7. Kim deserves a Vogue cover just as much as anyone else. People are just being misogynistic when they trash talk her.

  8. I'd never buy a magazine covered by Kim Kardashian. She has done nothing, NOTHING, so it might as well be me on the cover (I DO work and pay taxes, so I guess I've done more than she has!).

  10. Agree with your points 100%!!! I think it will sell lots and lots and lots...it's all about publicity, people won't be able to resist. Brilliant move on Ms. Wintour's part, the lady knows how to make a splash.
