Prada Beauty

(ps: style.com)
Get all made up with the most incredible products you can get your hands on, and then jump in a pool and/or get caught in the rain.
The second option, I think, is what they were going for here at Prada 'cause it's just so much more film noir and such... However the first option seems more realistic for the time being, as I'm sitting here in a sunny, 90 degree Tel Aviv.
Happy Holidays! xx

Tan Sexy

(ps: thefashionspot)
Candice Swanepoel by Mariano Vivoanco for Vogue Spain April 2013
Styling by Belen Antolin

A mash of the high fashioned bombshell with uber sexy styling, with a nineties twist.
On a hot summer's day, with both gym and beach time on the schedule, it really doesn't get better than this. xx

Like Old Times

Here, I'm saying it. Karlie Kloss is no longer a kid. And it's probably true ever since she did that sort of half nude shoot for Vogue Italia, but I feel like it's now that is the right time to announce it. She's walked every runway, she's done Victoria's Secret, she's best friends with the designers, she's absolutely everywhere at all times. The only thing missing is a Vogue US cover..... *cough cough*

Anyways, can we discuss the styling here? Just like old times, no? Knowing that I once had (and wore) pretty much the same Calvin Klein and Mickey Mouse sweater tops is making me feel quite in right now.  I just wish I had kept those pieces... Not that I regret donating my clothes, I definitely totally don't... but I can' help but think of how much I want an old school Calvin Klein sweatshirt right now. And that leads me to think of Carrie Bradshaw and how she kept absolutely everything... How recycling is a much bigger part of fashion than we even know. It's not really just about designers going back into their own archives and into history; it's about us, the consumers, going back into our closets and bring back pieces to life.

Did this post make any sense? Not too sure... But if you are getting me right now - thoughts? xx

Class Act

Lindsey Wixson by Paul Wetherell for Document #2

This editorial is genius in the way it mixes this incredibly classic styling with some of the trendiest accessories and elements... Ah, I just can't put my finger on it and that's what makes this styling job so brilliant.

Karlie Kloss by Lachlan Bailey for Vogue Paris March 2013

I've just gotten my hands on the March issue, and I have to say I'm pleased we're starting to see more faces in Vogue Paris... Karlie sure is welcome.
I think had these photos been in color, I would have liked them less. There is something so mysterious about the black and white, and it really get's you thinking - are the clothes actually in black and white? How would this look in color? It's those editorials that make me think that I love most...
Also, major kudos on the styling and major thanks for finally using spring's graphic stripes in a way that is different from how every other magazine is doing them at the moment.

The Vogue Paris March '13 issue as a whole is a breath of fresh air, and worth a buy (cover) - more after the jump. xx

Christian Dior FW13

(ps: style.com)

No secret that I am a huge fan of the brand with Raf Simons. No secret that I will probably love anything and everything he does. But this is just beyond.... Because one of the things I love best about Raf is the way he incorporates art into his collections. We've seen it done at Jil Sander, and now here at Dior. And this time it's with some of Andy Warhol's earlier work. It was these very illustrations that sold me the collection with the first look, including that incredible handbag (second photo), and now I can't get enough.

More highlights are the boots, the new wide legged Dior suit, and the knits...
I felt that this collection started on an incredibly light note considering this is meant to be a fall collection, and then the knits and coats came rolling out. Oh, and I'm just so pleased.
Thoughts? xx

J Crew Fall 2013

(ps: style.com)
This one goes out to all of my working girls... Because we all need great looks, with fun prints, colors, great jewelry and shoes. And most importantly, all pieces need to have that ability to mix and match with each other. Oh, and they have to all be easy pieces that can go from day to night, that seem comfortable and elegant enough for the office and that dinner date.
Everything is right here in this collection... xx
