Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear
This show was simply spectacular, as the Dolce & Gabbana shows always are.
We were re-introduced to our beloved Italian woman, and this time we met the darker side of her. The details in the collection, as always, were perfect and so well thought out. The lace, the embellishments, the sheer, the sparkle, the bodysuit, and the black and gold were all so good.
Those sunnies are already on my lust list, and I wish my makeup could always be like the model's makeup here - stunning.
I am looking forward to Paris Fashion Week which is next up!
Though, I will not be covering it like I usually cover fashion weeks, as my boyfriend is coming back from his super long travels and I have missed him so much, that yes, I am in fact going to stay away from the computer and PFW to spend time with him. I feel weird not analyzing and obsession over the new collections at PFW like I do every year, but I know I have all of you fabulous bloggers to keep me updated, which makes me feel a lot better!
I will still be tweeting though, feel free to follow and say hi - @ArdenRubens
Gwyneth Paltrow as a chic goddess in Tom Ford & Rooney Mara looking beautiful and so fresh in Givenchy, both were best dressed by a mile.
Yet, I can't help but think, what if Mara was wearing Paltrow's dress? That would be beyond perfect.
Who is your best dressed? xx

Jil Sander Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear
About a week ago it became known that Raf Simons would be leaving Jil Sander, and Jil Sander herself would be returning to be head of the label. This collection from Raf is his last for the label, and wow, what a collection this is.
This is the best collection of the AW2012 season and my favorite work by Raf thus far.
I was watching this show via live streaming on Style.com yesterday, and I could actually feel the emotional energy running through the place.
I thought that the runway setting, with the flowers in glass boxes, was a bit funeral like but the clothes were anything but funeral like! The clothes were so full of life, and hope. The pale colors, mixed in with some blacks and reds, and the silhouettes that were quite sexy and modern were worn by beautiful models who walked to a rather contemporary and emotional soundtrack. Perfect.
The finale was closed with a crying Kinga Rajzak, and a crying Raf who got a standing ovation (which was led by Anna Wintour herself) from the whole venue. A moment and show I am never going to forget.
So, Raf for Dior now? Thoughts on that and this show?
And how about Hedi Slimane possibly replacing Stefano Pilati at YSL...?
Oh, the rumors! xx

Kasia goes for a workout on Venice in some high fashion pieces.
I love the concept, I love the location, and I love the styling. Another absolute killer from Numero. xx

Outrageously beautiful, just the kind of thing I wish I were doing this weekend. xx
