Gold & Schwarz
Nyok Fian Wesselius by Honer Akrawi for Madame Germany November 2012
Ok, last post I mentioned that day where a metallic simply needs to be worn? Today was my metallic day!
Argh, as much as I love wearing coats, boots, and walking around with a hot cup of coffee for the sake of keeping my fingers warm, today's heavy winds and rains were just too much to handle. It was one of those anything-to-protect-hair days, when you're rained on on the way to work and you work freezing your butt off. We've all had them, and they suck.
The bright side (literally) was that I carried my beautiful gold handbag, which I don't nearly carry enough, and it truly shined. It added a little something special to my all black/gray look, and it was also big enough to cover my face and keep my brand new L'Officiel Italia (highly recommended) dry while still looking totally lovely. So, a big thanks to J Crew for making it in the first place.
It was also quite sweet coming across this editorial on my way home from work. If my day only was super chic - this would probably be directly what my day would look like. But my day wasn't chic. At all. So, I will just have to enjoy these photos via Deutch Madame, without complaints.
This is so glamorous, so rich looking and it seems so right for now. There is something really intriguing about bright gold with an eerie gray, and I'm just pleased to have unintentionally followed this trend today. See, it's those little things that make my day... Hope you all had a good one too! xx
