Burberry Prorsum Fall 2012 RTW
Burberry Prorsum Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear
I made sure to end my day a bit early so I could watch this show live via online streaming. It is something I do every fashion week, and I have found that this is really the only show where watching live is actually a necessity. Every time; the music will be so moving, the beautiful shots of the models, the front row, and the way the show is shot in general is amazing.
You can watch the full video here - I promise it's so much better than just viewing the photos on some site.
These looks were my favorites from the collection. Bows and velvet both played a great part, as well as the owls and the occasional puppy on the sweaters and tee shirts. The silhouette had volume, ruffles were big (I need a ruffled pencil skirt), and the end looks with the shiny short fringe were the perfect way to close.
Christopher Bailey manages to, yet again, take the classic Burberry style and change it just enough to make it fresh. I love it all. Especially the finale, with the (fake) rain down the clear glass sides of the venue with the thunder, and the models walked the final walk holding umbrellas to a silver shinny confetti type thing giving a 'raining' illusion on the runway. It is magical, and again, go ahead and watch the show. xx
