Jerusalem

My boyfriend and I celebrated our first anniversary, and in honor we traveled to one of the most romantic and special cities in the world - Jerusalem.
We stayed at the Crowne Plaza, which was lovely.
We spent Thursday relaxing and shopping in the famous Malcha Mall (more on this later).
Friday, we went to the gorgeous Old City and walked around for hours. It is incredible and so special being in what is arguably one of the holiest places on earth on the Sabbath - highlights were going to the Western Wall and watching the women walk around, preparing everything for the weekend in their white Sabbath dresses (which obv reminded me of Dolce & Gabbana SS11, with all of the white and lace.. So beautiful)
A lot of time was spent in the Mamilla shopping center. It is located in one of the entrances to the Old City. The mix of modern fashion stores (such as Topshop, GAP, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger) with a mix of Israeli designers, small boutiques, and amazing coffee shops make it simply perfect.

Jerusalem was COLD. It was windy and rainy and I simply could not take off this HUGE sweater and about four layers under it which I bought at H&M at the Malcha Mall. The weather also ruined my favorite pair of Burch flats, which I mistakenly brought as my only pair of day shoes. Nonetheless, this trip was amazing, and so romantic. Definitely a gorgeous weekend. xx

  8. I have ALWAYS been fascinated by Jerusalem. All we ever hear about it in the news is about the conflict they're going through. I am so happy to see this post. The place looks amazing. Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary. Hopefully, you'll get to replace the ruined flats soon. It's so great that the weather didn't ruin your trip though. Stunning images.
